Getting a decent return on investment (ROI) and enough sales round out the five biggest challenges of content marketing, with over one in three marketers (34%) citing it as a problem. 

With organic search engine optimization (SEO) among the top ecommerce traffic sources, it’s no surprise that marketing teams strive for their content to rank high on search engines’ results pages. However, achieving this goal can be difficult—29% of marketers say it’s one of their biggest content marketing challenges.

Creating content is one thing, getting potential buyers to relate to it is another. 28% of businesses list generating content that resonates with their target audience as a challenge. This is followed by organizing content marketing processes within the company, a problem that 25% of marketers encounter.

Producing original and high-quality content and hiring highly qualified content marketers caps the list of the top 10 content marketing challenges. These two issues are experienced by 24% and 19% of businesses, respectively.
